BRIKT CIC Named New Community CIC of the Year 2026/27

We are incredibly proud to announce that BRIKT CIC has been named New Community CIC of the Year 2026/27.

To receive this award so early in our journey is both humbling and inspiring.

What started as a simple idea, driven by a love of LEGO and a desire to bring people together, has quickly grown into something much bigger. Through BRIKT, we have been able to create opportunities for people to connect, learn, build confidence, support good causes, and enjoy the benefits of creativity within a welcoming community environment.

As a newly established Community Interest Company, our mission has always been simple: to use the power of LEGO to make a positive difference within our community. Whether through family build sessions, fundraising initiatives, community partnerships, or wellbeing focused activities, every decision we make is centred around creating social value and helping people connect.

What the Judges Said

The judges selected BRIKT CIC as the winner of New Community CIC of the Year in recognition of the organisation’s impressive early impact, clear social purpose, and commitment to creating meaningful opportunities within the communities it serves.

Despite being a relatively new organisation, BRIKT has demonstrated a strong vision for bringing people together, fostering collaboration, and delivering initiatives designed to generate lasting social value.

What particularly impressed the judging panel was the organisation’s proactive approach to community engagement and its determination to build a sustainable platform for positive change from the outset. As a Community Interest Company, BRIKT has been established with community benefit at the heart of its mission, prioritising social impact over private gain and demonstrating a genuine commitment to supporting local people, partnerships, and community development.

The panel also recognised the ambition, energy, and momentum shown during the company’s first few months of operation. Launching a new CIC is a significant undertaking, and BRIKT has already laid strong foundations for future growth through its innovative outlook, community focused values, and dedication to making a positive difference.

These achievements, combined with the organisation’s clear potential for long term impact, made BRIKT CIC a worthy recipient of this year’s New Community CIC of the Year award.

A Personal Reflection

When BRIKT was first created, there was no guarantee that the idea would work. Like many new projects, it began with a vision, a lot of determination, and countless hours of planning behind the scenes.

From building the website and creating systems, to sorting LEGO, organising events, designing resources, and reaching out to potential partners, every step has been part of a journey that has been both exciting and challenging.

To receive recognition from an independent judging panel after only a short period of operation is something I am incredibly proud of. More importantly, it confirms that the positive impact we hoped to create is already being recognised by others.

Thank You

This award would not have been possible without the support of so many people.

Thank you to everyone who has donated LEGO, sponsored a build bag, attended a session, shared our posts, volunteered their time, offered advice, or simply encouraged us along the way.

Thank you to our community partners who have welcomed us and believed in what we are trying to achieve.

Thank you to the organisations, schools, charities, and groups who have already started conversations about how we can work together.

Most importantly, thank you to my family and friends. Behind every new organisation is a network of people who provide encouragement, support, ideas, and sometimes a much needed helping hand. BRIKT would not be where it is today without you.

Looking Ahead

While we are incredibly proud of this achievement, it is only the beginning.

We have exciting plans for the future, including expanding our community sessions, developing new partnerships, supporting local charities, and creating even more opportunities for people of all ages to come together through creativity and play.

This award is a wonderful milestone, but our focus remains exactly where it has always been: creating positive experiences, supporting our community, and making a difference one brick at a time.

Thank you for being part of the BRIKT journey.

The Day BRIKT Became Real

There are moments in life where something suddenly stops being an idea and becomes real.

For me, that moment was the BRIKT launch day.

After months of planning, designing, building systems, collecting LEGO® sets, speaking to sponsors, connecting charities, creating the website, and wondering if this idea in my head would actually work… the doors finally opened.

And honestly?

I was nervous.

BRIKT has never just been about building LEGO® sets.

It has always been about people.

Creating a space where people can sit down, relax, switch off from the outside world for a while, and simply build together.

No pressure.
No expectations.
Just connection through creativity.

Walking into the venue before everyone arrived felt surreal. Seeing the sets laid out, the signs up, the tables ready, and the donation trackers displayed made everything suddenly feel very real.

Then people started arriving.

And something amazing happened.

The room came alive.

People who had never met before were chatting across tables.
Parents and children were building together.
People were laughing, concentrating, helping each other, and proudly showing off their progress.

Exactly what I had imagined BRIKT could become.

But seeing it actually happen in front of me was something completely different.

One of my favourite moments was simply stepping back for a few seconds and looking around the room. Seeing people completely immersed in their builds while conversations naturally flowed around them quietly confirmed something I had hoped from the very beginning:

This works.

Not because of the LEGO® itself.
But because building gives people a reason to slow down and connect.

The support from everyone who attended honestly meant the world to me.

Thank you to every single person who came along, supported the idea, booked a place, shared posts, donated sets, sponsored builds, or simply believed in what BRIKT is trying to create.

A huge thank you also goes to [Training In Partnership](https://traininginpartnership.co.uk?utm_source=chatgpt.com) for allowing BRIKT to use their amazing space for the launch event. The support and encouragement has been incredible.

This launch was only the beginning.

There is still so much to build.

More sets.
More events.
More charities supported.
More people connected through creativity.

But for the first time, BRIKT no longer feels like just an idea in my head.

It feels real.

And that feeling is something I don’t think I’ll ever forget 💙🧡💛

Something is coming to Andover…

I’ve been a little quiet lately.

Not because nothing’s happening… but because everything is.
Behind the scenes, I’ve been building something new. Something that’s been on my mind for a long time.

LEGO® has always been about more than just bricks to me. It’s about switching off, getting creative, and those moments where time just disappears.

And that’s exactly what this is about.

**BRIKT** is a not for profit LEGO® library, designed to bring people together through building, creativity, and connection.

A space where you can sit down, take a breath, and just build 💛

No pressure.
No expectations.
Just bricks… and people.

I’m not quite ready to share everything just yet.

But I can tell you this…
✨ **On Thursday 23rd April 2026… BRIKT is coming.**

A Trip to London… and a Little Bit of Magic

Some moments just feel meant to happen.

While I was in London, I found myself thinking about BRIKT, as I usually do. What it could become, how it could grow, and how I could keep building something that truly gives back.

On a bit of a whim, I decided to reach out to The LEGO Group.
I didn’t expect anything. I simply shared what BRIKT is, why I started it, and what I’m trying to create.

A not for profit LEGO® library, built around people, connection, and giving back through every build.

And then something lovely happened.

They came back with a message of support… and a voucher to help purchase something for the library. It might seem like a small thing, but moments like that mean a lot. Not just because it helps grow the collection, but because it feels like someone else can see what you’re trying to build too. That encouragement, especially at this stage, makes a real difference.

That set is now part of the BRIKT library, and like every other, it will go on to support BRIKT every time it’s built.

A small moment…

but a very special one in the BRIKT story

Building the BRIKT Library

When I started BRIKT, I had an idea.

A big one. A meaningful one. But still… just an idea.

Over the past few days, I’ve been building out the BRIKT library. What began as a blank page has slowly turned into a growing collection of LEGO® sets, each one carefully added with its own details, sponsors, and a connection to a chosen charity.

What I love most is that it isn’t finished.

It’s evolving.

Every new set we add creates another opportunity.

Another moment for someone to sit down, build, and switch off from everything else.

Another way to support local charities through something simple, creative, and accessible.

Seeing it all come together, both visually and technically, has been incredibly rewarding. It’s one thing to have an idea, but it’s something else entirely to watch it take shape and become something real.

And along the way, I rediscovered something I didn’t expect…

I’ve fallen back in love with writing PHP and CSS.

There’s something so satisfying about starting with nothing and gradually building something structured, something functional, and something that genuinely serves a purpose.

For a long time, I’ve been focused on creating websites for others.

This feels different.

This feels like building something that matters to me.

BRIKT isn’t just about LEGO®.

It’s about creating space, connection, and something positive for the community.

And now, for the first time, it’s starting to feel real.

And this is only the beginning.

Jordan Wylie MBE Supports BRIKT and the Next Phase of Community Impact

We are incredibly proud to welcome Jordan Wylie MBE as one of the early supporters of BRIKT. His support represents not only a sponsorship, but a shared belief in creating meaningful impact within communities.

Jordan Wylie is known for his dedication to helping others, from his humanitarian work to his ongoing support of initiatives that make a real difference.

Through his sponsorship of BRIKT, and in support of the Army Cadet Charitable Trust UK (ACCT UK), we have been able to expand the BRIKT LEGO® library with additional sets for the community to enjoy.

These sets will be available to book and build as part of our growing programme, offering a space for people to connect, focus, and take time out from the pace of everyday life.

Each time one of these sponsored sets is booked, a contribution from the booking fee will go towards supporting young people through ACCT UK.

This means every build not only creates a positive experience for those taking part, but also contributes to opportunities and support for the next generation.

BRIKT is about more than LEGO®. It is about creating a space where people feel welcome, supported, and connected.

Having the support of individuals like Jordan, who are committed to making a difference, strengthens what BRIKT stands for and helps us grow that impact further.

We are truly grateful to Jordan Wylie for his support and for being part of the BRIKT journey from an early stage.

This collaboration reflects everything BRIKT aims to achieve. Building experiences that bring people together while giving back in a meaningful way.

If you would like to support BRIKT or sponsor a LEGO® set, we would love to hear from you.
